My piano studio is located at in Amherst, Massachusetts. I teach classical and jazz piano as well as improvisation and composition. I teach any age and any level. I will even work with you if you don't want to learn to read music! I'm very open minded. I don't believe that music should be a chore. I've been teaching since 1990. I have a B.A. in Piano Performance, a Master's in Ethnomusicology and a Ph.D. in Music in Higher Education. I went to Berklee School of Music and also studied Asian music at UCLA in Los Angeles. In addition to piano I play electric bass, clarinet, flute, sitar, saxophone and many kinds of synthesizers. I have taught at the college level but I dont feel that that's the place for me. I prefer to teach one on one.
